Well I made it back to Atlanta and am officially married. The only real difference I can tell is that I am wearing this wedding ring and it irritates my finger sometime. Chrissy is at work and I am on a break before school starts back up.
The wedding went perfect in our minds. If you are unaware, we were married at the First Christian Church in Alamo by brother Mark Myers. The reception was held at my mothers house, it was beautiful.

Friday, the day before the wedding, a wind storm hit the area and threw sticks all throughout the yard, as well as knocked the tops out of a couple of tree, one which was beside the reception area. As soon as I got home, Robbie Taylor, Wendell Harper, and John Cole were in the yard picking up sticks. Later Donna Clement and I joined to help with the disaster. The portable potties had tipped over so the company brought new ones. Since the ground was wet, I had to transport them, one at a time, on the back of the Polaris to their location on the other side of the yard. John and I went to unload a truck full of sticks and… well just ask him. After returning home, Chrissy had returned with Erin Brown who was sick and needed to rest. We got ready and went to the rehearsal.
After practicing for the wedding, we went to Green Frog where we had the rehearsal dinner. I thought the food was great minus the uncooked potatoes. After eating, mom opened the floor to anyone wanting to tell a story about Chrissy and me. Everyone talked about funny events that I had forgotten and some that have been stretched from the truth, but whose counting. I thanked everyone for their support and love throughout the years and asked them to continue to support use as we began our new life. The entire community where I grew up had created a cocoon of love for which I could dwell and I hope to reconstruct that environment for the community I live in. Anyway, here are a few photos from the night, the rest of them are in the gallery.

Woke up and found volunteers in our yard picking up sticks. This may not be everyone but I know Jack Norrid, Jim and Robbin Jerman, Belinda Hughes, John Cole, and Wendell Harper were their. First, Danny and I went to get a light from the shop and a chainsaw to cut the limbs down with. I got back and help clean up the place. The sun was out and John and I started to dry off the carpet under one of the tents. Brandon Hughes showed up with his sprayer and grass collector (what a relief). We all worked on getting the reception ready when we noticed that the company that rented us tables forgot to deliver the rectangle food tables. John and I ran to the church and got eight white rectangle tables. We then got back and went to get ready for the wedding.
Brandon and I arrived at the church around 2:10 p.m. I had forgotten my socks so Beth went to get me some. We all got ready and began taking photos. Although I don’t recall much of what happened next, I do remember Brannon, my cousin the ring bearer, was the highlight of the afternoon. The wedding started at 6:00 and the church was packed. I’m guessing but I think we had over two hundred attendees. We survived the wedding although I did have to hand my handkerchief to my sister, Lauren Brannon, during the ceremony. I do…. were off to the reception.
We arrived at the reception and It looked great! Vicki Norrid, Tammy Argo, Rita Reasons, and many others were all running around trying to get things together. Gary Hughes helped park cars and according to him, “every single person drove two vehicles.” Everything was a blur for me from here on out. Maybe when I get more pictures, they will tell the story. Anyway Chrissy and I left around 10:30 p.m. but turned around twice before getting on our way. We arrived in Nashville at Union Station around 1:10 a.m. I want to again thank everyone how had anything to do with the wedding. It turned out great and most importantly, Chrissy was pleased.

And they lived happily ever after!
We are still working on that part.
