64-bit MacBook on its Way?

Accoriding to an article I read this morning, Chineese sources are suggesting that a 64-bit MacBook Pro will ship this September. The new MacBook will enjoy the power of an Intel Merom CPU.

Asus Releases WL-700gE Wireless Router

Asus has released a nice looking, full featured, WL-700gE wireless router. The router has several key features that make it unique from most wireless routers you can buy.

First, it has a 160 GB hard drive built into it’s case, so you can image the possiblities with this. It also contains a USB port to allow you to quickly shard content on the network. Since we have the HD, it has a builtin FTP server, allowing you to create multiple accounts and profiles. It has a SAMBA server builtin as well as a Web server (Don’t know what kind, probably Apache). Big deal, so why is this thing any good right?

Nokia Releases Sirocco Edition of Their Beautiful 8800

According to a moblieburn forum, Nokia has released a sirocco edition of their 8800 series phone. The new edition looks similar to the original 8800 and comes in black or silver.

The new phone features a 2MP camera, new slider, and new designed key layout. It has an expected price of around $1000, so I don’t believe I will be getting one anytime soon.

WWDC Update

Jobs started off this year’s WWDC with another great keynote. He introduced the new Mac Pro, shown below, made fun of Vista, and introduced 10 features that Leopard will have.

Shown below is the new Mac Pro desktop computer. It fits inside the same chassis as the Power Mac G5 but has lots more space inside.

Leopard was the main announcement for the event. Apple highlighted several key features they will be adding to their already world class OS.

WWDC Update

As August 7 draws closer, more and more rumors about new products are being released. These include a second generation iPod Nano, iTunes Movie features, and a new MacPro.

Paul did a good job explaining the new iTunes movie rentals as well as the new iPod Nano. Please check his web site for that information.

According to Apple Insider, the case will be similar to the current Power Mac case with only a few modifications. Below is a mocked rendering of the front and rear of the new case.
