One of the more enjoyable holidays of the year, Labor Day weekend was once again a good time to relax with some friends. Chrissy and I meet up with my old college friend, Sasha, and toured the Biltmore Estate, which included a HUGE chateau, garden and winery.
About a year ago, I wrote about how Yahoo! Web Hosting had tremendously disappointed me. However, customer support refunded my money for my dissatisfaction. Although they temporarily regained my satisfaction, they didn’t seem to fix the source of the problem; their level of service. Yahoo! is up to it again, and this time with domain names.
This summer I participated in the Siemens internship program in Atlanta, GA. The internship was a 12 week full time paid internship and there were about 35 interns participating in the program. I worked in product management under the marketing division for the Siemens Energy & Automation operating company.
When Chrissy and I first came to Atlanta, we quickly found it difficult to engage socially with other people. Being married at a young age of 21 slightly handicaps some of the social things you can do. All of the friends I had were single and in college, so you can image the lifestyle they lived was not appropriate for a married couple. Then we meet Chad & Lauren, a recently married young couple that were very likable and in a similar situation to ours.
Yesterday we attended the Georgia Tech Summer 2007 Commencement Ceremony. A friend of mine, Chad Rogers, graduated and afterwards we went out for a little fun. When Chrissy and I got to graduation, I took a moment to indulge myself in a few photos with Georgia Tech’s most reputable icon, the Ramblin Wreck! I would have cranked it up and tried to drive off but the keys were no where to be found and I didn’t have my hot wiring kit with me.
We took several photos of the event for those of you who are interested.
