A man owns a candy store and sells only two kinds of candy. One type of candy cost $0.75, the other cost $1.00. Prices are clearly displayed in the store such that all customers know what type of candy is for sale and how much it cost.
A man, call him man A, walks into the candy store and hands the clerk a dollar and asks for a piece of candy. The clerk asks man A which type of candy he wants. Seconds later, another man, B, walks into the store and hands the clerk a dollar and asks for a piece of candy. The clerk goes and gets the $1.00 piece of candy for man B.

How is it that the clerk knew that man B wanted the $1.00 piece of candy, but had to ask man A which he wanted? [Answer after the break]

A man is in a boat floating in a swimming pool. He is holding a large solid (heavy) iron ball. If he drops the ball into the water, what happens to the level of water in the pool? In case it isn’t obvious, does it increase, decrease, or stay the same? [Answer after the break]

Puzzle: Flipping A Coin

Most everyone has made a decision by flipping a coin. However, there is no such thing as a fair coin (one that has equal probability of being heads and tails). So how then are you suppose to make a fair decision when using a coin? After answering this puzzle you will know.

You have an unfair coin with the probability of being heads some unknown value, Prob(Heads) = p. And you know p is not equal to 0.5. How can you then generate a fair toss? [Answer after the break]
