Nikon | Universcale

I ran across this a while back and never got around to writing about it. This is probably one of the most educational flash apps I have seen in a while. Universcale is a flash app that Nikon created that puts the world in which we live to the concept of “size”. It shows objects that range in size from 10^27 m to 10^-15 m. And if your not familiar with powers of 10. Thats 1000000000000000000000000000 vs. 0.000000000000001 m!

Even expressing the distance change mathematically, it is difficult to comprehend. “Our curiosity brings us to use objects visible to the naked eye as yardsticks to identify those things invisible and to give them new units of measurement. BlackBerry + Facebook App: The Game Changes Again

BlackBerry, Facebook, Reviews, Software 8 Comments »

TechJournal’s Atlanta DeckParty

Personal, Technology No Comments »

TechJournal, in conjunction with Georgia Tech’s ATDC and the Technology Association of GA, hosted it’s first Atlanta DeckParty last night! It was a great networking event where you could meet a very diverse group of executives and entrepreneurs. There was no agenda for the evening. Just eat, drink, and make some great contacts.

I would guess that there were around 150 people there last night. I basically walked away with a hand full of business cards, insight into new technology startups in the southeast, and great advice for launching my career. If you ever get a chance to attend, I highly recommend it.

What are your opinions about DeckParty?

It has been a few weeks since the Georgia Tech Career Fair chaos ended and I finally got around to writing this article. You can easily Google many opinions about resumes, career fairs, interviews, etc, but I thought it would be beneficial to the community to document some of my experience with the Georgia Tech Career Fair.
